Fun in the Sun

This weekend was so beautiful and warm that we had to break out the swimming pool! Originally I thought we had a blow-up pool because Jonathan said he saw one in the garage, little did we know that it was only 2 feet by 2 feet.... not a lot of room :) So Katelynn was nice enough to stop by the store on her way over and pick up a second blow up pool that was a little bit bigger and had a really neat canopy on it to keep her protected from the sun! Hailey had a blast and was absolutely hilarious; she made my day.

Dancing Queen

One of Hailey's favorite things to do is DANCE! I love watching to see what her newest move is. I wanted everybody else to be able to see what I get to be a part of every day so I compiled a few videos together of her from this last month. Enjoy!!

Yummy Recipes!

I have been recieving Parents Magazine for almost a year now, and just recently started paying attention to the recipes that they have in each issue... I know, I'm a slow learner. Because I have found so many great recipes and ideas for snacks, not to mention wonderful advice on healthy foods for my little ones, I decided to go online and see if I could find more recipes on their website, and I SCORED!!! I can't believe how many recipes they have that are easy, cheap and most importantly nutritious, so I had to share! Here are a couple of recipes that I haven't tried yet, but looked really good!

Play dates, date night and watermelon!

Hailey has been so lucky to have such cute and sweet friends to play with. We love our play dates! Her second favorite thing to do is eat new foods... her latest favorite is watermelon. She absolutely loves watermelon and would probably eat it all day long if we let her.

YUUUMMM!! Watermelon!!

Jonathan and I have been so busy with the house and Hailey we haven't had much time to concentrate on eachother, so last night we decided to go on a date to the Rainiers game. We had so much fun together, pretty much laughing the entire time we were there. The only downfall was that it was absolutely FREEZING!!! We left a couple innings early because it was so cold, so we're not sure who won, but when we left the Rainiers were losing :( But it was a really interesting and exciting game. We got to see a grand slam, and a few more home runs and great plays. We had a wonderful time.

April...

Well it looks like I'm creating a pattern that I'm going to have to fix. Blogging once a month just isn't going to work. Hailey is growing up so fast and there are so many new things she is doing.

Absolutely LOOOOOVES to dance
Finally got her first two teeth on March 24th & 25th
Points at everything and says "DAT" and then tries to repeat you when you tell her what it is that she's pointing at
Prefers to eat 'big people' food and to feed herself (she's super independent)
Likes to pull everything and anything off the coffee table and onto the floor
Loves to read her butterfly book
Still isn't sleeping through the night :)
Still takes two 2hr naps a day with a 1hr nap somewhere in there too!
Loves animals
Has the best smile in the world and a great sense of humor
Hates getting dressed but loves to take her clothes off
Recently discovered that she really like yogurt, fruit, playing in the toilet and eating toilet paper, but doesn't like the way the grass feels on her skin

... I could probably go on forever...

Aside from miss Hailey, our other little one is still growing well and helping me to grow too :) I gained 14 pounds in two months (only bringing me to a total weight gain of 22lbs.) and have since slowed down since then. He is definitely a mover and a shaker though. We don't have an official name for him yet but are very close! One of my most exciting moments throughout this pregnancy was getting to take maternity pictures with Katie!

Lastly, we have a new home!!! I only have a couple pictures because we're still trying to move in, but I'll post the ones I have and then update again later!!

Talking, talking, talking

It is so much fun to watch Hailey grow up and learn new things; although sometimes I feel like the time is just flying by way to quickly. Not only is she walking along furniture and getting into everything and anything, but she's starting to talk more and more. For the longest time the only thing she would say is "da-da" to pretty much anything... that is until this week. Now she is saying "da-da" specifically to daddy or pictures of daddy, dog, which sounds more like "dach" (but in a german accent...), "up" and on a very rare occasion she will attempt to say "bye" when she is waving to someone and they have said bye-bye first.

She is such an amazing little girl with the brightest personality that I have ever seen. She has a great sense of humor, isn't scared of anything, loves to meet new people- especially babies, likes any kind of food you put in front of her and constantly wants to show you how much she loves you. We simply cannot imagine life without her.

Update...

I've been waiting to post so that I would be able to share some pictures with everybody, but unfortunately our computer is in storage and so is our camera so I've been relying on technology from other people to help document our last month! Hopefully I will be able to post some new pictures soon.

For those of you who haven't heard yet, we're having a baby boy! So far he's twice as big as Hailey was at this point, so I'm a little scared, but super excited to have one of each! We are so blessed. Jonathan and I are going to register today for a few essential boy items and look into getting another crib (since we'll be needing two now). It's going to be so much fun shopping for little boy stuff, I can't wait :)

Hailey is doing great! She's crawling everywhere and pulling herself up on anything she can. We went to the zoo last week for the first time and she had a blast. Her favorite animals were the whales and the walruses. Every time they swam up to the window right in-front of her she screamed, laughed and starting hitting the window. It was pretty cute. She also just had her nine month appointment and is growing perfectly. She weighs 16 pounds 8 ounces and is 27 1/2 inches long. She's still little but growing!

As for Jonathan and I, we're busy with work and are also trying to buy a new house in DuPont. We're supposed to close the end of March, so I should have some pictures of our new home soon! We are very excited to have a bigger home and yard for our kids to play and grow up in. Other than that we've just been enjoying our time with miss Hailey and our families!
